INSTRUCTORS:
Returning to the Triad for the second time in three months, Souhail Kaspar is a master percussionist, known worldwide
for his brilliant technique, exciting performances, and teaching skills.

 Born in Lebanon and trained at Nadi al-Fonun al-Arabia (Conservatory of Traditional Arabic Music) in Aleppo, Syria,
Souhail has an impressive body of performances as well as recorded work, including credits on several movie
soundtracks.   Souhail Kaspar currently  lives in Los Angeles and is performing, recording, and teaching both nationally
and internationally.  His most recent recording is the acclaimed Khaliji CD, a collection of popular songs from the Saudi
Arabian peninsula.

 In addition, renowned Moroccan instrumentalist,
Rachid Halihal, will also be joining Souhail in giving workshops and
classes in arabic music theory and maqamat.  Rachid is also classically trained, first on piano and violin, then on voice,
oud, and violin.   His is a well-sought after musician, whose most notably toured with Rachid Taha in 2005.

Musicians and dancers of all backgrounds and skill levels are invited to take advantage of this rare opportunity.  Class
sizes will be limited and will allow participants direct one-on-one interactions to learn from some true masters of Middle
Eastern music.

Both Souhail and Rachid also regularly accompany Middle Eastern dancers in performances and will provide
information designed to help both dancers and musicians interpret Middle Eastern melodies and rhythms for a more
dynamic and exciting performances.

Greensboro!

Renowned Middle Eastern musicians Souhail Kaspar & Rachid Halihal will be joined by Naji Hilal of Raleigh,
Omid Aghamaleki of Greensboro for a memorable evening of music & dance.

The evening will feature dance performances by Sylvana and the Dancers of 1001 Nights, Gypsy and Aladdin's
Genies, and  BellySima, among others.

After performances to both live and recorded music, the dance floor will be open and everyone will have a
chance to experience the energy of dancing to Souhail's inspirational rhythms.

A complete Middle Eastern dinner is available for purchase, or you can order drinks & hors d'euvres from
Tuscana Cuisine's regular menu.
